Code of Conduct

GENERAL INFORMATION

Through this code of conduct, we establish the framework for the fundamentals of Nerdearla.
The main objective of the event is to create a collaborative exchange space where we can have fun, learn, and share problems and knowledge.

WE TRUST IN DIVERSITY AS A FUNDAMENTAL ETHICAL PRINCIPLE OF ANY EXCHANGE

We join efforts to redraw the paths of discrimination, exclusion, and condemnation of minorities who have faced and continue to face greater difficulties in exercising their full competencies, capabilities, and potential with freedom and equal opportunities.

OUR SPIRIT IS TO FOSTER AN ENVIRONMENT FREE FROM DISCRIMINATION

We are aware of the multiple intersections that interfere with achieving this ultimate goal, so we believe it is our active work and that of the entire community to get involved in this challenge.

We expect that sponsors, speakers, organizers, and all attendees of the event will respect the following principles of participation and collaboration:

  1. Maintain a friendly and respectful dialogue at all times that fosters the best possible exchange.
  2. Respect diversity in all its forms: cultural, gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, age, professional, religious, ideological perspectives, etc.
  3. Do not discriminate, exclude, harass, or engage in acts that in any way undermine the dignity of individuals.
  4. Take responsibility for the shared space by taking care of it.
  5. Refrain from presenting material, images, or activities whose content may harm, demean, or objectify individuals or groups.

CONTACT THE ORGANIZATION

If you observe and/or experience that these principles are not being respected, contact the organization, and we will provide the necessary attention.

In cases of harassment, discrimination, or aggression, it is expected that such behavior ceases immediately. Depending on the case, actions may be taken to sanction, expel, and/or review the individual's participation in future community events.

We hope to have the active cooperation of each participant to create an enriching and virtuous space that supports these policies and makes Nerdearla a heterogeneous, diverse, friendly, and inclusive meeting place.
